More to a Vacation in Africa Than Meets the Eye

When African Vacation comes to mind, most will undoubtedly visualize endless grassy plains with many animals storming across, and elephants, giraffes, and many smaller animals running, or moving through the jungles as well. Yes, this is part of the reality in Africa; however there is much more than just these scenes to be seen. Africa is a large continent, with many countries and climates.

There are those that are in civil war, and suffering from vast poverty, which are unsafe for travel and other parts of Africa that are simply wild, and dangerous to go with it. Beyond these though there are yet other parts of Africa that will fulfill many more vacation ideas than you may have never imagined.

Of course everyone knows about northeastern Africa though often don't think of it that way; rather it's known as Egypt; with the environment of the Nile River, with many historic pieces of architecture such as the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and numerous temples. Most of it a short distance from the capital city of Cairo. Several of these are considered great mysteries to this day, on how they were built by mankind and simple tools alone.

In northern Africa, you will find many beach resorts throughout the Mediterranean coast and Red Sea. Vacations in these parts in many ways will resemble some California stops, with the added benefit of many miles of great white sandy beaches and less crowds.

You can also find many island resorts in the Indian Ocean areas of Africa as well. Many of these resorts offer oceanfront privacy where you can fish to your hearts content. Cooking it for lunch can make for a great vacation, then an afternoon swim on the same unspoiled beach that the private bungalow happens to be upon.

For those that are really looking for a safari in Africa, there are Kenya, Tanzania, and other parts of South Africa to consider. There are many big game preserves and national parks to see. One thing to also consider these days are the US State Department travel advisories while planning your vacation. You will find important information regarding travel safety in modern times.

Northwest Africa is where you will find Morocco and the Canary Islands. They offer an environment and cultural experience that differs considerably from many other parts of Africa. You may find them comparable to a vacation in Monte Carlo or Cannes, but more affordable and even more relaxing.

When planning your Africa vacation, you will probably want to start planning early. You are bound to find more on it here along with useful links. Beyond that, your favorite search engine can find you much more to help you decide not only where your vacation in Africa might be great, but also the best packages you can find. Plan early, and verify everything though.
